Here’s a picture my Dad took as I was dropped off Sunday at 5th Grade Camp. Much like Cub Scout Camp this summer I am away from home for 4 nights, but this time we are in cabins and there is about 100 of us!
I’m lucky too that Mrs. F (seen in the picture) who I had as my second grade teacher and is my all-time favorite teacher runs the program. She’s the best!

This was the first year that I asked to play baseball. I’ve played soccer (it’s OK) and I’ve taken quite a bit of swimming lessons (I really like swimming!) and of course I play chess (Hey, it’s a sport!
)
Anyway, here’s some photos from my season with the Padres.
I’m at Cub Scout Camp this week. From Sunday night till Friday night. It’s my first real extended overnight of my life!!
This is a picture of my buddy Cory and myself as our parents dropped us off. I was excited, but it was a bit scary as well.
I’ll have stories for you this weekend when I return from the tundra of Camp Beaumont.

Sorry for not posting in quite some time.
Let’s see where do I begin? School has been out since the first week of June.
I attended a Cub Scouts Camp where we learned first-aid, shot paint ball wrist rockets, threw a javelin, and some fun science facts.
I also attended Cub Scouts Shooting Camp. We shot Bow and Arrows, BB Guns, made crafts and learned bicycle maintenance.
We went to Williamsburg, VA for vacation! It was great especially the seeing the muskets, rifles, and cannons being fired!
Here’s a LINK to picture from Williamsburg.

I also did Vacation Bible School (I had to do it!)
Tomorrow though, I become a man. At least that’s what my parents think. I leave Sunday for 6 days and 5 nights at sleepover Cub Scout Camp. No Mom, no sister, and no Dad! It’s my first event where I’ve been without my family for that long! I’m looking forward to it though. My friend Cory will be going as well, along with some other Scouts that I know.
It’s going to be AWESOME!!
Anyway, thanks for reading and I’ll try to be better at updating.
GO CARDINALS!!!
Last weekend I had my Blue & Gold banquet. It’s an event that celebrates the advancement of my Cub Scout learning process. I am now a Webelo II. Thius time next year I will be attending this ceremony and will be graduating to Boy Scouts! I will also earn the “Arrow of Light”, but I’ll save that information for next years post.
Here are some pictures from the event.

I’m 10 years old today people!!!!!
You can see some pictures of my morning at THIS site.
And I finished…….3RD!!! 3rd out of 26 racers!!!!
IT WAS AWESOME! Last year, I was 13th out of 17 cars, so this year we did much better.
I’m pretty darn happy with the work that my Dad and I did on this years car. On Wednesday of this last week, our car was REALLY slow. The wheels and axles seemed to be the problem. So my Dad got out the wheels from another kit, cleaned them up lightly, polished the axles, and graphited the heck out of them, spun them and hoped for the best.
Friday night at the shakedown, we finished first probably 15 times out of the 20 test runs we did!! We were RED HOT!!!
Against my wishes, my Dad put some glue on the axles (I didn’t want to mess with it at all!) to hold them in place, but it was fine. Saturday we put some more graphite on the wheels, and hoped for the best.
I won the first seven races I was in!!! Then I started to slow down, I guess all of my graphite was wearing off. I next placed second, and then at the final round I was third and thus third overall.
Here’s some pictures.

He’s a picture of me working on my Pinewood Derby car for this years race. Last year we did “OK” for first timers, but this year I hope we are more competitive. My Dada has been reading up on Pinewood Derby Secrets. So hopefully we’ve made some good choices. I’ll post a picture of my car when it’s completely done.
PS. My dorky sister will have a car for the race too. We’ll post her car picture as well.
